Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Your Account
At PetsConnected.com, we take your account security seriously.
To help protect your information and keep your account safe, we recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Here’s how to set it up:
๐ก๏ธ What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security that requires you to verify your identity in two steps:
-
Enter your password (first factor).
-
Provide a one-time code sent to your phone or email (second factor).
This makes it much harder for anyone to access your account without your permission, even if they know your password.

Log in to your Pets Connected account.
-
Go to Account Settings — Click on your profile icon at the top right and select Account Settings.
-
Find the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) section — Scroll down to the Security section.
-
Click “Enable 2FA” — Follow the prompts to start the setup process.
-
Choose your preferred verification method:
-
Phone number (via SMS) — Receive your code through text.
-
Authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator) — Scan a QR code to generate your code.
